Ukraine war: China downplays USSR quip after uproar

China's foreign ministry is saying it respects the sovereignty of former Soviet countries such as Ukraine, an apparent effort to distance itself from comments by Beijing's "wolf warrior" ambassador to Paris that's triggered an uproar in Europe. Matthew Larotonda reports.
