An oracle within my heart
concerning the transgression of the wicked person:
Dread of God has no effect on him.36:1 Lit There is no dread of God in front of his eyesRm 3:18
2For with his flattering opinion of himself,

3The words from his mouth are malicious and deceptive;Ps 10:7

He sets himself on a path that is not good,

5 Lord, your faithful love reaches to heaven,

6Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your judgments like the deepest sea.Ps 71:19
Lord, you preserve people and animals.Ps 104:14–15
7How priceless your faithful love is, God!

8They are filled from the abundance of your house.

10Spread your faithful love over those who know you,

12There! The evildoers have fallen.
They have been thrown down and cannot rise.

Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.
