Welcome to the 4th episode of the Back to Human podcast.

On this episode I interview a great friend of mine, Dr. Christiana Marron. Dr. Marron runs her own private one-on-one physical therapy practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was referred to Dr. Marron by an out-of-state physical therapist because I was dealing with lingering knee and elbow issues from previous injuries. The session was so good in comparison to the insurance based, mill-type rehab that I was used to that I decided to understudy her work for a year and referred all of my clientele to her.

She has worked with patients of all ages and abilities who have experienced orthopedic and neurological injuries — including NFL Miami Dolphins football players, professional UFC, Bellator and PFL MMA fighters, professional boxers, Nationally Ranked Raw USAPL Powerlifters, USPA Powerlifters, IFBB/NPC Bodybuilders, professional football and professional rugby athletes.

Dr. Marron is well versed in many modalities including:
•Cupping
•Dry-needling
•Graston technique
•PRI technique
•Vertigo physical therapy
•TMJ disorders
•Pediatric therapy
•Balance disturbance therapy
•Rock tape

In this episode we discuss:
•What led Dr. Marron to pursue a career in physical therapy.
•The difference between acupuncture & dry-needling.
•The meridian systems.
•The biopsychosocial model.
•Psychosomatic illness & injuries.
•How we are underserved with insurance based physical therapy

If you are in the South Florida area and have not found a resolution to your chronic pain I highly suggest you get with Doc.
