Kitten falls to the river, breaks her leg, and cries for urgent help - WATCH until the end! 🙀🙀🙀

When Allison Norlian and her husband saw a little kitten crying down in the L.A. River, they knew they had to do something. A neighbor already called animal control but they wouldn't come out. The Fire Department did come out, but they were not able to assist. Luckily, a quick Google search led them to #HopeForPaws 🫶

Loreta and I just completed a six-hour-long rescue and we thought we would get to relax for a bit, but nope... Allison texted me, I told her I will grab a ladder, and we will rush over right away. When we arrived, I was surprised to see so much water in the river at this time of the year (it is usually empty in the summer). We quickly figured out a plan, I went down to the river, Loreta, Golan, and Dustin provided support from above, a crowd gathered on the other side of the river to cheer, and the rest is in this video 😊

At CARES we discovered she had a broken leg, so that had to be fixed with an expensive surgery. Every week we do AT LEAST 10 major surgeries, and as you can imagine, this costs many thousands of dollars. If you can, please help us pay for River's next surgery to remove the external fixator she has on her leg here: https://www.HopeForPaws.org

After Allison signed up to be a monthly donor, she also found a medical foster who is helping River through her healing process. River will be availble for adoption in a couple of weeks after her next surgery, so if you would like to adopt her, please contact our friends at Cats at the Studios: https://www.CatsAtTheStudios.com

Allison Norlian and Kody Leibowitz create this short film:

I come across so many medical situations for humans and for animals, so it was very interesting to watch, and also educational.

Thank you so much for helping us save many lives!
