Live This Life Podcast- Ep 114: The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living

Over 2000 years ago, one of history's greatest philosophers faced an ancient form of "cancel culture" and ultimately faced death for teaching people to think freely. Socrates was tried and convicted for "corrupting the youth" of Athens Greece because he taught his fellow citizens that there was more to life then being a farmer, soldier and worker.

The ruling elite did not like this as it threatened the order of serfdom they had created. Socrates faced an upcoming trial that could result in execution, but was given the chance to go into exile and leave Athens instead. Ultimately he chose to stand trial, as he stated a life where he could not examine how to live his life was not worth living.

At the present time, we are carrying out a modern form of this "exile" for those demonstrating free thought, those who question the ruling elite, those who challenge the status quo. Their lives are ruined, and they are cast out of society.

Its time to wake up the masses and realize that we have a birthright to free-will, and living an EXAMINED and PURPOSEFUL life is the only way to express that gift of life!
