Paul Mackenzie, leader of the Malindi cult followers of William Branham's "Message" cult of personality, had a history of warning signs that leaders in the "Message" sect ignored. As many as 100 people are feared dead in the cult's mass suicide.

Mackenzie and his sect were radicalized using specific sermons preached by William Branham from 1947 to 1965, and authorities have uncovered several books published by Spoken Word Publications in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
