Guard Passing III -- Push Up Pass Is Fantastic
Against guard fighters who. play off their back, one of their biggest weapons is leg entanglement. If you expose your legs against a good leg locker, you'll be tapping fast. This pass is very high percentage and safe because it keeps your legs way out of reach, whilst using a lot of pressure (thank you gravity!) to reduce their hip movement. If they sit up to get grips, use your head to drive their chest back to the mat.
The closer your body is to a push up position, the more effective it is, so avoid the tendency to want to support your weight on your feet. Let your hands (pinning the legs down) support your weight, which means your opponent carries it all.
