Why Players Don't Fear Lebron Like they used to, two days ago after the Lakers played the Grizzlies Dillon Brooks was asked how he felt about Lebron James and he didn't hold back, he said that he doesn't really fear LeBron James and that He is old. Now we all know this is Dillon Brooks and he is known to be a villain in the League he has made a name for himself by trying to get under the skin of players Like Donavan Mitchell, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, etc. And although I may hate Dillon Brooks he is a perfect case study of a phenomenon that has been happening to Lebron James In The last season or two and that is Players feeling bolding enough to step Up to Leron to challenge him or feeling brave enough to trash talk LeBron and this has never happened on this scale before, In the Past only players with some cache could try and mouth off to Lebron because they had a chance of at least backing it up, but now we are seeing players who aren't all-stars do it, so why is it happening? well, the reason is that Players have this perception of Lebron That he is old and that he isn't what he once was, and some of them are right Lebron is old he is at the end of his prime, and al though that may be true they need not forget this is still Lebron James we are talking about he is still good. because Lebron has been able to take care of his body throughout his career, he has managed to age very gracefully and that has allowed him to be an elite player at the age of 38 still, Lebron in the 2023 season averaged 28.9 points, and last year at 37 he averaged 30.2 points, he is currently averaging more than his career average, so all though he might be getting older, make no mistake he is still elite and it isn't a good idea to try and mock him. and Analysts have tried to use this to say Lebron can't be better than Michael Jordan because this never happened to Michael Jordan but they are wrong, whey are comparing Lebron to Michale Jordan is his prime Micheal Jordan at this age was not elite and in fact players used to fight Michael Jordan.
