But as seen in previous outings, The Big Bang Theory prequel likes to have unexpected plot twists in its storytelling to keep things fresh, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility that it moves George's cheating scandal plot forward as well. Who George May Be Talking To In The New Young Sheldon Trailer Admittedly, the blonde hair means that it can be Missy or Mary but neither fits with this mystery girl's aesthetic. Both Cooper women don't tend to wear their locks in what appears to be a high chignon. So, there's a possibility that it could be a brand-new character in the series. After all, given where it currently lands in The Big Bang Theory timeline, Sheldon's story about catching his dad in bed with another woman is on the horizon. It has been confirmed that the said incident will not be tackled in Young Sheldon season 6. In fact, showrunner Steve Holland floated the idea that the prequel may not even show on-screen. But, that doesn't mean that the series can just skip it altogether. At the very least, Young Sheldon needs to acknowledge that it happens — otherwise, this threatens to destroy the established canon beyond repair.
