Matalas, the mastermind behind the third season of Star Trek: Picard, is a true Trekkie through and through. Before he was calling the shots as an executive producer and showrunner, he was a production associate on the final seasons of both Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise.

But that's not all, folks! Matalas even had a couple of writing credits under his belt for Enterprise, penning the thrilling episodes "Impulse" and "Stratagem". And if you thought that was impressive, get ready to set your phasers to stunned because Matalas made a cameo appearance an episode of Enterprise as a crewman.

If you're thinking Matalas is a big deal, the Enterprise writers agreed with you. They named a planet after him: M'talas Prime.
