Last Call - 'Dark Side of the Rainbow' with Tom Connors of MEAD and Stephen "Deleted Scenes" Otten

In August 1995, the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette published an article by Charles Savage suggesting that readers watch the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz while listening to the 1973 Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon. Savage said the idea was first shared on an online Pink Floyd newsgroup. According to Savage, if you start the album as the MGM lion roars for the first time onscreen, “The result is astonishing. It's as if the movie were one long art-film music video for the album. Song lyrics and titles match the action and plot. The music swells and falls with character's movements ... expect to see enough firm coincidences to make you wonder whether the whole thing was planned." Fans refer to this mashup as alternately “Dark Side of the Rainbow,” “Dark Side of Oz,” and “The Wizard of Floyd.”

I’ve been wanting to do a watch party to share this experience for some time now. Then when Midnights Edge After Dark mentioned that Roger Waters had re-recorded a new version of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, after the original turned 50 years old this year (https://www.youtube.com/live/uzKGMJqdpJ0?feature=share&t=321) I thought now was the time. Further, I figured I’d take a shot at inviting MEAD’s Host, Tom Connors, to be a guest bartender and Floyd Subject Matter Expert.

AND, since this is a mashup stream, I thought a second guest that would mesh well would be returning co-host and regular Maître d', Stephen “Deleted Scenes” Otten!
