Rawlins, WY to Rifle, CO.

In today's video, we embark on a road trip from Rawlins, Wyoming, to Elk Mountain.
Elk Mountain is a prominent mountain located in the Medicine Bow Mountains, and we planned to drive to the summit to take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. However, I was turned away upon reaching the mountain's base because it was private property.

But all was not lost! The property owners kindly directed me to another part of their land, Battle Lake, where Thomas Edison conceived the idea of the light bulb. After taking in the beautiful scenery and history, I set off for a campsite in the Sierra Madre Mountains.

However, my plans were interrupted when I discovered my truck needed maintenance. So, I headed off to Rifle, Colorado, where I spent the night and had my vehicle serviced. Along the way, I learned about wealthy individuals or long-standing families owning massive pieces of real estate like mountains.

Join me as we journey through the scenic countryside, learning about the history and geography of the area and the challenges of exploring remote regions.
