Guard Passing I -- Stack Pressure Pass

Guard passing is about 80% of the ground game. A good ground fighter uses the legs as a fence and either locks you up or creates distance and stands back up. The closed guard is really strong because unless you break the legs apart and get out you can basically do nothing. Yet the fighter on the bottom can do a lot. So your goal in the guard is to always protect yourself against armbars, sweeps and chokes, and get past the legs.

This is a high percentage pass that lets you be patient whilst you place tremendous pressure on your opponent. You can bake them under that pressure to the point where they will WANT you to pass.
