4th in our series the Epistle of 2nd Peter

The Need of This Hour  - 2 Peter 1:2-3
* The Divine Power of God brought us the Bible
* Dynamis = power in action such as miracles - Mark 5:30
* The inspiration of Scripture was a mighty miracle like no other - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
* The power Holy Spirit controlled and constrained the human scribes 
* The result was that which was put on paper was exactly the Words which the Lord had determined to write - 2 Peter 1:20-21
* The Bible we hold in our hands is a miracle of God
* The Bible has been preserved by God’s gift to all mankind

The Scripture is All things that relate to Life & Godliness - 2 Pet. 1:3
* Life itself is a gift of God that is to be lived in accordance with His commands - those commands revealed in God’s Word
* Actual sanity is to see this world as God sees
* This is only possible by a transformation of our minds - Romans 12:1-2
* We need God’s Word to wholesale change our world view of every subject matter in life
* Godliness is accomplished as God’s Word points out our sins and leads us to true repentance - John 8:11-12
* The washing of regeneration - Titus 3:5
* We need to grow up into Christ - Ephesians 4:15
* This transformation comes through the knowledge of God
* That knowledge is full and thorough, through and through
* We are called to reflect His communicable attributes
* The glory of God shining through us Mt 5:14-16
* The virtue of Christ manifest in our life
