In Less than One Minute, a Big Roll of Toilet Paper is Gone...

In a public restroom in #Chongqing City, #CCPChina, on Apr 21, 2023.
In 2001, a western #FalunGong was going to secretly travel to #Beijing to protest against the #CCP's crackdown on Falun Gong. Before she left, she asked for tips for getting around in Beijing. I offered only one: Take your own #toiletpaper when going out.
She asked: Why?
I said, because there isn't toilet paper in the public restrooms.
She asked again: Why?
I said, people will take it home if toilet paper is provided.
She asked for the 3rd time, why?
At that stage, I felt so ashamed to have to explain to her that because people will take it home anyway...
Seems now the situation is better, after 22 years. They do provide toilet paper now.
Only the people still haven't gotten any better.
