Eight Hour Information Blackout after Fire in Beijing Kills 29: What’s the Secret Behind It?

On April 18th, at 12:57 pm, a fire broke out in the east building of the inpatient department at Changfeng Hospital in Beijing's Fengtai District.
Videos from the scene show thick smoke rising from the building, with some people using bed sheets as ropes to escape from the windows, and others climbing onto air conditioning units outside to avoid the flames.
