The Second Chechen War took place in Chechnya and the border regions of the North Caucasus between the Russian Federation and the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, from August 1999 to April 2009.

The war arguably popularised the tactic of brutal filmed propaganda footage.
The Dagestan Massacre clip is one of the most well know videos to come out of the war, but there are other extremely brutal videos from the conflict, some more well known than others.

The topic of lost media synonymous with the Chechen wars, with several clips over the years going missing. The following video, showcases the murder of Tatiana Usmanova, a long video that may have went missing for several years, before once again surfacing online recently.
