Portugal told the politicians in the United States that it cannot dictate its foreign policy no matter how much they're used to doing that for other people.

Brazil's President Lula Da Silva did the same this week when he said that the U.S. is profiting from war and should start speaking about peace.

The United States warned Brazil that they are off base but they didn't say how.
