New York City's Democrat Mayor Eric Adams has recently unveiled a proposal to regulate the intake of meat and dairy products among the city's residents.

Adams, a passionate vegan, is determined to restrict public consumption of meat and dairy to address the pressing issue of climate change.

Mayor Adams believes that decreasing meat intake will significantly contribute to reducing New York City's greenhouse gas emissions.

The ambitious plan aims to cut food-related gas emissions by 33 percent within the upcoming seven-year period.

Adams explained, "Food ranks as the third-largest contributor to urban emissions, following closely behind buildings and transportation."

He further emphasized that not all food items have the same environmental impact. The primary culprits behind the emissions crisis are predominantly meat and dairy products.
