The Mystery of Roman Artifacts ( Amphorae Jars)

Brazil's Guanabara Bay is no stranger to waste, but in 1982, Robert Marx stumbled upon a unique find: over 200 Roman ceramic jars located 15 miles from shore. The twin-handled amphorae were used for transporting goods in the third century, but their presence in Brazil raised questions. The Romans didn't reach Brazil until the 1500s, so how did the jars get there? Some speculate that a lost navigator or mutineers may have caused the ship to stray westward. Unfortunately, the Bay of Jars was closed to research in 1983, leaving the mystery unsolved and the truth buried 100 feet under the sea.
