American Education Defenders, Inc. is a non-profit company whose focus is student centered learning. We present America's past in a creative way to help our students believe in themselves and in their country.

Finally, the past becomes relevant, meaningful, and personal. It's w-a-y okay to be skeptical as you continue reading.

We use true stories from America's past to show our children that they have
what it takes to achieve and excel right now, not 20 years from now.

It comes as a "pattern interrupt" in a long-established education culture that has
been marked by standardization, compliance, and conformity.

In other words, there's little or no room for imagination or creativity.

Which is why our program is ideal for students in grades 6 through 12.

In our year-long series of videos, we prove that every child possesses valuable
qualities like independence, resourcefulness, responsibility, creativity,
determination, empathy, and honesty.

These are values that America has always held dear, and by boosting their
self-confidence, we help our kids overcome any doubts they may have about
themselves.

We can teach our young ones the value of these qualities.

And when these qualities are attacked by anyone, our kids will likely
defend and preserve them.

In effect, we provide the seedbed for a new American patriotism.

Public schools just aren't cutting it when it comes to building confident kids,
but our program can be a great addition to any charter school or homeschooling curriculum
that seeks to teach life lessons from our past in a meaningful and personal way.

In short, we don't do history using the boring "stats and facts" that you
were forced to study when you were in high school.

Instead, we use history creatively to help and advance the personal growth
of our teenagers and preteens.

And here's something we didn't expect: our videos actually bring families
closer together.

Each video comes with thought-provoking questions designed to get both
students and parents to think about how the lesson relates to them personally.

You might be surprised by what you learn about each other.

Our approach to history might seem a bit selfish, but it works. We always ask
ourselves, "What's in it for me?" and this helps our children see the value in
these stories and apply them to their own lives.

Which is why all we do is centered around the student.

And hey, check out the short video summary above of a talk by our chairman,
Paul Lloyd Hemphill, at Wellesley College. You don't want to miss it.

It's okay to interrupt the standard education pattern, which is partly a
focus on textbook learning. Student centered learning is simply the
necessary and invigorating interruption to a failed education system.
