SF Business Owners "Clean up the streets, or no more taxes" - Spike on Kennedy - 8/31/22 - pt1

It’s going to get worse; San Francisco isn't an outlier. Government has made the safety net more and more comfy, while removing the rungs that allow folks to climb out of it. We’re seeing an increase in homelessness in major cities like New York, San Francisco, and Portland. Add to this the lax enforcement of victim crimes like theft, assault, and shoplifting. This is a humanitarian crisis. We need to approach this problem like we’re starting to approach the education problem. Government monopoly causes problems, we need to get them out of it. Just like school choice, we need police choice. Competition drives innovation in the market. If government isn’t doing a good job, tax strikes are just a start. We need to remove them entirely.
