Rolling of the eyes means (quite literally) that you don't believe something or don't care about it. It is a gesture of disbelief or disapproval. Rolling your eyes includes a connotation of silent resistance, or only grudging acceptance, of that authority figure's pronouncement. It is a sign of rebellion.

Thus, we should respect the Lord's holy name. The name of Jesus wasn't meant to be a bumper sticker, nor a necklace, nor on someone's underwear, nor a tattoo. You wouldn't dishonor your family name by placing it in common places, as a common thing, to be cheapened by common men.
