Is Khalistan Possible? must watch

First of all it is a day dream. But let us think hypothetically and it becomes a reality. That would be the day when thus beautiful religion would go down in dump and it would be very shameful to watch ourselves at the mercy of Pakistan with no airspace and no port to uplift the economy. They would be in same position as other land locked countries like Nepal who is a the mercy of either India or china. Also socially all the evils and Crimes would be committed against our Sikh brothers and sisters.
The so called pure country called Pakistan is killing, murdering, blasting and commuting inhuman atrocities on their own Muslim brotherhood. Do the Sikhs want the same treatment meted out for themselves ? I think majority including myself would say plain NO to this flabbergasted idea.
I think it would have pacified you dear.
Khalistan is not in the interest of majority of the Sikhs. And there is no enslavement of Sikhs in Punjab or any other state.
At present, Sikhs enjoy freedom of religion. They also have the ability to preserve their culture in the state of Punjab. A new nation is not going to significantly improve their religion or culture.
However, Sikhs will lose out because of the following:
1.A second partition of Punjab. Khalistan would require a partition of Punjab where a sizable population are non-Sikhs. Sikhs are unlikely to get more than 50% of the present day Punjab (also ask Jinnah’s ghost on how big of a Pakistan he dreamed and what he finally ended up with). And if there is a partition, everyone there knows how the previous partition went for the Sikhs and Hindus.
2.The resulting Punjab would be super small [about 30,000 sq km] somewhere the size of Lesotho, Moldova and Rwanda. From immigration counters to job interviews there is a disadvantage coming from an “unknown” country.
3.Losing out the coasts and free access to the globe. The state of landlocked Khalistan will be sandwiched between two hostile neighbors and neither of them will give them access to the sea.
4.Losing out employment in the Indian Army and rest of Indian services. A small nation would not require that much army and there will be far higher unemployment in Punjab than that exists now.
5.Both India and Pakistan would vie for this key buffer state and will use their powers to influence outcomes and running puppet rulers.
