There will be signs and wonders, but why are things so quiet?

Why does it seem that things are so quiet? Prophecy fulfillments in these last days seems to be taking its time. Just like in the times of Gideon when he asked why doesn't miracles happen in his day like in the past, I also wonder the same sometimes.
