Today marks day 1 of the strike officially taking place. 155,000 federal employees have begun their PSAC strike in an effort to negotiate a deal with the government for a 9% raise over 3 years.

The Canadian government has already stated they are willing to give a 6.18% raise, which means there's a gap of 2.82%.

This money will have been fully acquired through the government NOT PAYING the federal employees after 8 days of striking.

Essentially the strike will end shortly after 1 week.
