When a white police officer kills a black person in the line of duty (no matter the justification), the administration demonizes that officer. At the same time many hundreds of murders on the streets of Chicago (black-on-black crime) are ignored because Chicago, home of Obama, is a Democratic Party stronghold.
And while Republicans feel this is horrible, many feel it’s preferable to a Republican not of their choosing to be elected president. Riddle me that, boys and girls.

Presently, President Trump, both Houses of Congress, and even the judiciary are shut within a vicious circle; and all the proposed solutions have thus far resulted in drawing this circle only tighter. The stalemate over illegal immigration, the endless harassment of President Trump with baseless allegations, and the irresponsible threat of impeachment, point to an impending national catastrophe.

Clearly, the indecisive handling of the illegal immigration crisis raises serious questions about the ability of successive administrations, and presidents who stood at their heads, to put together a coherent immigration legal system. As a result, both American citizens and illegal immigrant have been left in a limbo; waiting anxiously to find out what solutions the executive and legislative branches will come up with. By now, the overwhelming majority of Americans have realized that their country needs an immigration regime that is legally sound, without loopholes and, therefore, functions seamlessly.

Adding insult to injury, almost all illegal immigrants have come to the United States of America in search for a better life through employment and not as asylum seekers who have faced actual persecution for political reasons in their country of origin. The lack of a well-defined legal system about immigration has encouraged tens of millions to chance the dangerous trek through multiple countries in the hope of eventually receiving residency and citizenship sometime in the future. From a purely humanistic perspective, the vast majority of Americans cannot but empathize with the misery of illegal immigrants seeking a better life for themselves and their children in the United States of America. Yet, tolerating the unencumbered invasion of their country will not solve the problems of the grossly dysfunctional countries of Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia. Doing so will neither help those countries and will only perpetuate the status quo. More importantly, allowing unchecked movements of mostly illiterate, badly educated, professionally untrained, and unemployable illegal immigrants will put a tremendous financial strain on the as of yet stable and thriving economies. Finally, the large majority of these illegal immigrants and even their children will overwhelmingly remain culturally alienated and existentially stuck in prolonged poverty.

This problem is complex and the solution also requires a multifaceted response. A combination of physical barriers and the deployment of sophisticated technology are necessary. However, taking away the economic and social incentives for illegal immigration is also needed to successfully combat the current lawless situation in the southern borders of the United States of America.

In this light, calling those who advocate reasonable immigration policies immoral, inhuman, and even racists only create and perpetuate economic misery, political instability, the weakening, and even the destruction of the constitutional order of the United States of America. Therefore, to allow the issue of illegal immigration to continue metastasising into a politically catastrophic, hate-based cancerous tumor is unacceptable and wrong. The United States of America must set a clear immigration policy. For this the time is now.

Concealed behind President Trump’s opponents hypocrisy, is a twofold tragedy – corruption of the founding principles of the republic and the steady erosion of societal peace and stability. The constitutional order of the United States of America is in a real danger of collapsing. The perversely counterintuitive resistance to President Trump by the Democrats, which has manifested itself in political and personal hatred, has turned into a hoax. And a hoax, which is a compendium of lies, can never be transformed into a democratic governing principle capable of ensuring domestic and international order. This inverted democracy of the Democrat Party can only lead to the denial of the fundamental principles of the constitution and the subsequent establishment of the modern totalitarian state.

The real and ultimate objective of the Democrat Party is to cajole the United States of America into a violent revolution. In this context, the Democrats’ modus operandi is binary. Intellectually, the plan is to steer the country away from its founding principles and toward socialism. Constitutionally, the plan is to destroy the existing legal system based on the rule of law, in order to bring about social justice through political subjugation. The result, based on prior historical experiences, is predictable. The destruction of the constitutional order, the elimination of all freedoms, and the establishment of a minority’s tyranny will engender a fear-based panic that will engulf like a giant fireball both the oppressors and the oppressed.

For these reasons, Americans must fight the burgeoning current of political hatred. They must also understand that the illusion of the socialist utopia can never be turned into a perfect reality. Furthermore, the American people must reject the unworkable political construct of socialism and demand the restoration of the United States of America to its founding principles.

Dear Secretaries, Blinken and Yellen:

As an Institute dedicated to the universal promotion of human rights and the fight against corruption and the promotion of the rule of law, we commend you for your commitment to implementing the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (PL 114-328, Subtitle F), which authorizes the President of the United States to impose financial sanctions and visa restrictions on foreign persons in response to certain human rights violations and acts of significant corruption. We hope that the Biden administration will engage in “Robust and thorough enforcement” of the Act, and that the President will “fulfill his commitment to hold perpetrators of human rights abuses and corruption accountable.”

“Global Magnitsky” is a potentially groundbreaking legal weapon. It allows the United States of America to sanction the worst human rights violators and corrupt individuals across the globe. Moreover, this Act also states unequivocally that, as far as the United States of America is concerned, accountability for political and private gangsterism knows no borders. Finally, uncompromising implementation of the Act has the potential to deter any present and future kleptocrats and those who use and would contemplate to employ violence to silence dissent to perpetuate their power, forcing these corrupt individuals to think twice before committing their criminal acts. This Act is a shining example of the principle that the United States of America intends to lead the rest of the world in eradicating gross violations of human rights and theft of public and private assets worldwide.

Yet, the great promise of the Act will only be realized if the American government turns its provisions into real actions. With this conviction in mind, we, the leaders of the Frontiers of Freedom Institute, have endeavored to compile and document a case from Romania that we believe satisfy the Act’s strictest requirements, which in turn, deserve the most rigorous investigation by the American government. We are pleased to provide your departments with case files as summarized in the appended annex.

Throughout our discovery process, our objective has been to gather and organize pertinent evidence in a manner that we believe will assist your staffs in making timely, meaningful, fact based, and objective designations. Evidence in each case that we have assembled combines credible reporting from international governmental organizations, such as the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction (“EBRD”) and local non-governmental organizations, and writings from investigative journalists, and personal accounts of senior executives of local and international companies.

Today, there is no rule of law, and there is no free market economy in Romania. Articles in the local as well as international press, exhaustive reports in the domestic and foreign media have laid bare the extent of lawlessness and corruption in Romania. The system of checks and balances has disappeared. The rule of law has become non-existent too. Economic freedoms also h ave fallen to the “pay to play” mentality that has introduced absolute corruption in every sphere of the Romanian economy and particularly in one of the most critical sectors, the financial services and insurance industries. Furthermore, US based institutional investors, such as Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and investing clients of Interactive Brokers are greatly and detrimentally affected.

Even more alarming is the fact that highly corrupt individuals in the government leadership and administration have set about to destroy the unity of the European Union and NATO, in order to please Russia and its President Vladimir Putin. For all these reasons, the United States of America, as the leading power of the world, must take appropriate actions immediately to prevent further damage to the security of both alliances, Romania as a member state of NATO, and the European Union. Moreover, in the case of the European Union, the political and economic well-being of the entire organization will be in jeopardy. At stake are the fundamental principles and the basic value systems that we and our allies all over the world have cherished, have fought for, and have been determined to uphold.

And there is some evidence that Russia’s Putin is able to capitalize and use this corruption to limit the ability of Ukrainians to travel and escape the war crimes that he has been formally accused of by the International Criminal Court. The corruption of financial services and insurance services is bad enough and corrosive enough by itself, but it has the added impact of making travel and obtaining required insurance for travel and shipments almost impossible due to the corruption that blocks access to these needed resources if one wishes to travel. The bottom line is that using endemic corruption in financial and insurance services to block ordinary citizens from traveling or fleeing a systematic imposition of crimes against humanity in Ukraine effectively allows corruption to be used as a tool to trap innocent people in a purposefully targeted and deadly assault aimed a wantonly killing civilians by the tens of thousands. So, while corruption is always bad and harms a civil society, this is a special case that offends even the most seared conscience.
