This Place

I’m committed to my family. We live in Montana & it’s “butt ass cold” most of the year. I had a chance to leave it behind & move to AZ or OK but there were more opportunities for our 5 sons here on account of being established in reputation built on integrity & service, and extended family. When the fork in the road was before us & we were in the Southern states some family lured us back with lies & it hurt us deeply. So, the song “I love to hate this fucking place” was born. Maybe one day I’ll get away? If I didn’t have sons launching one by one into manhood I’d absolutely be some place warmer from December - May. & here’s the catch: it might be warmer weather, but there’s no place else that has people as warm of heart as home.
