This BWO nymph is a quick and easy fly to tie for trout that works well throughout the Blue Wing Olive season but often before and after the season. Even when there are emergers and adults that have hatched on the water the nymph can be fished because the fish are often keying on all stages of the insect. There are many BWO nymph patterns (which tells you how effective and popular this fly is) and this one is one of the simplest while representing the nymph stage very effectively. -- Enjoy
