Biden to extend student loan pause through Aug 31st and is floating plans to excuse student loan debt up to 50K per borrower. Where is the forgiveness for the average American struggling through high gas prices and inflation? Are we going to get a 50k forgiveness we'll all need to get that electric car the democrats all want us to get? We really shouldn't give them any more ideas. Part 2 The student dept problem began when the government became involved in subsidizing higher education with things like the Pell Grant. When the money tap gets turned on, the cost immediately goes up. The solution is to end this subsidy and allow those who are in over their heads the option to dismiss the debt via bankruptcy like any other bad debt.
