March 18, 1964 was a snowy day for the Boston area but it did not stop New York Central rail operations along the B&A mainline. As snow and ice built up along the switches in Framingham, MA, a westbound frieght train with a drunken crew derails against the switches killing six. The investigation finds many factors that led to the accident.
