Protesters gather as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis visits D.C.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was met by protesters when visiting Washington, DC, to meet with Republican members of Congress on Tuesday ahead of an expected presidential bid. Protesters gathered outside the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation, near Capitol Hill, booing Republican lawmakers as they left the event. According to sources collected by Storyful, the protest signs referenced DeSantis' so-called 'Don’t Say Gay bill,' which bans Florida teachers from instructing on sexual orientation or gender identity until fourth grade.
