All of the Gospel of St. John is a revelation of the person, the God-man, Jesus Christ. The revelation of Jesus Christ to the heart of man reveals God, Holyholy Trinity. We see this in the exegesis of the reading for Bright Monday. We also interpret, according to the fathers, the obscure and difficult to understand statement of John, “He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.”
