In many aspects, Christians who are transformed by Christ’s redeeming love later in life can demonstrate a concept of spiritual Stockholm syndrome in which the new believer has the desire to fall back into a lifestyle which they once knew. On a lesser note, they might simply want to please friends they once had. Yet, they know there is a chasm that has been created which makes this impossible.
