Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu inspects Strategic Missile Forces units located in Kaluga region

Russian Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has inspected one of the regiments on combat duty of the Vladimirsky Missile Formation in Kaluga region.

◽️ Colonel General Sergei Karakaev, the Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, reported to the Russian Minister of Defence on the progress of rearming the formation with the new Yars missile systems and creating modern infrastructure to ensure high-quality conditions for organising combat duty and comfortable accommodation for military personnel.

◽️ The Kozelsky missile division has become the first unit of the Strategic Missile Forces to be equipped with the new Yars silo-based missile systems.

◽️ Sergei Shoigu has inspected the organisation of combat duty of the strategic missile system with an intercontinental ballistic missile. The Russian defence minister saw the combat capabilities of the silo-based launcher and the operation of the remote-controlled combat module of the new generation defence system, which can reliably ensure the security of the facilities.

◽️ General of the Army Sergei Shoigu also inspected the infrastructure, where high-quality conditions have been created for the organisation of combat duty and comfortable accommodation for soldiers.

◽️ When summing up the results of the working visit, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation received reports from the formation's command on the state of combat readiness, composition of the missile formation, and set tasks to organise the development and introduction of new forms and methods of warfare into combat training programmes.
