Chicago’s mayor-elect warns against ‘demonizing’ rampaging teens after unrest

Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson responded to this weekend’s violent “teen takeover” of the Windy City’s downtown area by urging the public not to “demonize” the hordes of rampaging young people who set cars on fire, clashed with cops and damaged private property.

Johnson, a progressive Democrat and former teachers union organizer who was elected mayor earlier this month, released a statement Sunday reacting to the disorder in his city that resulted in a shooting and more than a dozen arrests.

“In no way do I condone the destructive activity we saw in the Loop and lakefront this weekend. It is unacceptable and has no place in our city,” Johnson stated. “However, it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities.”

Compton residents say street takeovers have become common; LASD to partner with CHP to stop looting

Sheriff's deputies in Compton have returned to their patrol duties Monday following a chaotic weekend that involved a series of street takeovers and a mob of looters that left a trail of destruction at local stores.

And, law enforcement officials say they are developing partnerships and a plan to stop the increasingly common occurrence of street takeovers in Compton.

Video captured a wild scene at an Arco gas station near Alondra Boulevard and Central Avenue early Sunday morning where a large group was caught on video bum-rushing an Arco gas station and stealing thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise, all while the clerk on duty hid inside.

The video shows one man breaking the glass door while dozens of looters crowd behind him. Moments later, the group was seen grabbing everything from drinks, snacks, alcohol and even condoms.

As Bud Light Goes Woke, Customers Go Away

For years, major American corporations have been moving to the far left, embracing radical causes and showing disdain for their customers. A perfect illustration occurred in 2020, in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. The Claremont Institute discovered that major corporations gave $83.1 billion to the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and “related initiatives.” As noted by Claremont Institute, this amount is “more than the GDP of 46 African countries.”

Bud Light Loses Billions in Value as Backlash from Trans Partnership Continues

As the controversy surrounding Bud Light’s partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney heats up, the brand’s parent company has suffered a concurrent loss of more than $5 billion in market value.

Yes, that’s billion with a “B.”

The backlash against Anheuser-Busch began on April 1 when Mulvaney, a transgender social media “influencer,” posted a video letting fans know that Bud Light had sent him a can of beer with his face on it and that he was partnering with the brand for an ad campaign.
