Phil Foden RETURNS as Man City train ahead of Bayern Munich Champions League quarter-final

Phil Foden returned to Manchester City training ahead of Wednesday’s clash with FC Bayern following surgery for acute appendicitis.

The English midfielder has missed City’s last four fixtures as he recovered from the operation.

Pep Guardiola’s men travel to the Bundesliga side with a commanding 3-0 lead thanks to a scintillating performance at the Etihad last week.

Goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland saw the German champions dispatched with relative ease.

City have clicked into gear and are on an imperious run of form, winning their last ten games in all competitions.

Bayern, who have won the last 10 Bundesliga titles in a row, drew 1-1 with Hoffenheim on Saturday.
