Richmond Indiana had a chemical fire going for days, an hour from Cincinnati Ohio. Residents returning home were concerned still if they were safe from the toxins that spewed into the air around them.

Home recommendations: Get an air filter for your air handler of a MERV rating of 11 or higher (13 is the highest). Change your air filter once a month for the next few months; every 3 months is a normal timeframe for changing if the air is 'clean'.

Don't leave an air filter in for longer than 4 months without changing it or if a permanent one, cleaning it!
