Speaking at a press briefing in Washington D.C. Tuesday, Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) spoke about how his proposed Ending Trading and Holdings in Congressional Stock (ETHICS) Act will give American citizens trust in their lawmakers. “People need to have confidence that policymakers are making decisions about what's best for the country, not what's best for their stock portfolios,” said Sen. Brown. The ETHICS Act would ban members of Congress from trading in the stock market.
