Hunting with Kids || In Pursuit of Fallow Bucks with my 8yr Old Son

Sharing a passion and lifestyle with our children is hugely important. My 8 year old son accompanied a friend and I on a recent deer hunt in pursuit of fallow and red deer.

No he is not old enough to use firearms in my state of NSW, Australia. But the memories he took away will last a lifetime.

To the people who may attempt to look down on children and hunting. That's okay, I can accept that.

But don't take that stance if you have no further context, thinking that graphic gaming, heaps of screen time and the latest craze of war video's showing the death of people is now the new normal for kids. IMO it shouldn't be, like everything we need balance and context.

Ethical hunting and spending time with children outdoors is not a terrible thing and one which I embrace. My son wishes to hunt, my daughter doesn't, and that is 100% fine.
