In February 1959, nine ski-hikers perished under mysterious circumstances in the Russian mountains. After setting up camp, having dinner, and preparing for sleep, the group never returned.

On February 26, searchers discovered the hikers' abandoned tent had been torn from the inside. Footprints in the area indicated that some hikers were barefoot, some wore only one shoe, and some were wearing socks, leading to the discovery of the first two bodies in their underwear without shoes near a nearby wood.

one body displayed evidence of blunt force trauma, another had third-degree burns, and one was missing a tongue. Moreover, some clothing items were radioactive, and one hiker had been vomiting bl00d.

Theories have been proposed, including KGB-interference, drug overdose, UFO gravity anomalies, and the Russian version of the Yeti. It is widely agreed that some overwhelming and potentially inhuman force was responsible for the tragedy.
