The Fox & Grapes Story | English story | Moral Story

One day, a hungry fox was wandering through the forest in search of food. As he walked, he spotted a bunch of juicy-looking grapes hanging from a vine above him. The fox's mouth watered at the sight of the grapes, and he immediately jumped up to try and grab them. But no matter how high he leaped, the grapes remained out of his reach.

After several unsuccessful attempts, the frustrated fox finally gave up and slunk away. As he walked, he muttered to himself, "Those grapes were probably sour anyway. I didn't really want them."

The moral of the story is that sometimes people (or animals) belittle things they cannot have. They try to convince themselves that what they cannot obtain is not worth having in the first place. This way of thinking allows them to justify their own failure and protect their ego, but it can also lead to missed opportunities and regrets.
