Focus Focus

[Transitional Times Poem Collection] -
Keeping our spirits up and maintaining hope and faith is a great part of managing our resilience during any of life’s difficult times. Imagining and visualising the desired outcome in any situation requires our focus and we must ‘swat’ away the doubts or screaming locusts!! So here is to focus focus!! See your way through it by picturing the achievement!

This poem was written in December 2022 and while it has a Spiritual Inspirational aspect, it has great relevance for us now, so I have included it in my 'Transitional Times’ poem collection which normally contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time'.

Poem wording -

Focus, Focus

Focus, focus – no more ‘hocus pocus’
Swat away the screaming locusts.
Life is great, when you are of good cheer
Not, I might add, from drinking beer!!

So, let’s be straight and let’s be clear
The time of change, it is so near …
And trumpet calls, we are about to hear.

Stand up on your feet, join your hands as in prayer
It’s time, it’s time, for our God the Slayer
To remove the evil – just do not fear!
But let the ‘locusts’, beware!

God is your strength. God is your Might.
Do not falter as we come out through this night.
Be bright, be light and of course … hold tight!!
But … hold tight in faith and in delight!!
