Republican Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy addressed Joe Biden directly today in a speech challenging him on debt ceiling negotiations.

"American debt is a ticking time bomb that will detonate unless we take serious, responsible action...I have not heard from the White House since our very first meeting. President Biden has been missing in action and misleading the public."
