Revelation 18:1 says, "After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor."
This angel is greater than the 7 in Revelation 17
He immediately precedes the 2nd Coming of Christ

Revelation 18:2 says, "With a mighty voice he shouted: “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal."
Babylon will literally become the capital of evil in the world
But it will quickly become desolate
Revelation 18:3 says, "For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”

False Religion is BIG Business especially when everyone is forced to participate
This coming New World Order will be intoxicated with materialism and greed
If you took all the major cities of the world and merged them into one that will be he future Babylon
It will have the culture of Paris
The excitement of vegas
The political power of Washington DC
The technological advancements of Tokyo
Babylon will be one grand megalopolis
Materialism, Vanity and Greed will rule the day
Now we think this is way down the road but can I bring it close to home?
Our lives are built upon comfort, convenience, luxury and recreation
Just to give you a picture of where we are today here in America
The average home has 300,000 items
25% of people cannot park 1 car in their 2 car garages
American children make up 3.1% of all the children on the planet but have 41% of the toys globally
Now listen to me: God is not against you having nice things
He is however against nice things having you

Money

God is not against wealth though
Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”
Christians can have a low view of money
Spiritual to be poor
There are poor spiritual ppl a& rich spiritual ppl
Money is neutral; neither good or evil
Love of money is root of all evil = Greed
Money exposes what is already in your heart
Money will expose you as well
If you lack discipline money will expose you
If you are materialistic then money will expose you
If you love God and people then money will expose you
Money is neither good or evil; its neutral
Love of money is root of all evil
All evil is rooted in GREED
Root of all love = generosity
Best cure for greed is generosity
Generosity brings God's blessing
BABYLON IS BUILT ON GREED
KINGDOM OF GOD IS BUILT ON GENEROSITY

Conclusion

Revelation 18:4-8 says, "Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; 5 for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes. 6 Give back to her as she has given; pay her back double for what she has done. Pour her a double portion from her own cup. 7 Give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, ‘I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.’ 8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her."
In this late and final hour, God will extend one final invitation

This language is nearly identical to God's Call in the OT
Jeremiah 51:1-9
Babylon represents rebellion against God just like in Genesis 11
Notice she calls herself a queen but God calls her a prostitute
The Babylonian system is a system of greed and vanity
The Kingdom of God = generosity and humility
James says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble"
I believe that call is for us today to come out from her because that system is operating in our world
Come out from Greed and Vanity
Come into generosity and humility
