Good morning. I pray that the start of your day is filled with the love and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray that you are experiencing peace as you read this. Sometimes, it's best to put on some light piano music and read scripture. It allows you to realize how much you are letting the things of the world get to you, bother you and weigh you down. Everyday, I get messages from people saying they can't take it anymore. Whether it be politics, or marriage, school or parenting. So many people just want to give up. It's easier to just ignore everything and let life happen all around you. The good and the bad. As long as it all just leaves you alone right? Especially if you think of that old saying, "Ignorance is bliss!" The problem with that is that it's all a lie. It's exactly where the devil wants you. Completely immobilized and hopeless. Without hope, there is no joy. Without motive, there is no motivation. Without salvation, there is no point. I can't imagine living that cold, lonely, and desperate kind of life. I've been there before and it's a place that I would never go back to. No, I'm not even talking about prison. I'm talking about apart from my Father in Heaven. Apart from my Jesus! I couldn't even fathom that! I know things get hard. I know that nothing seems to be moving in the positive direction for you. A sword needs to be put the the fires of hell in order to be made soft and weak, then pulled out of the heat and hammered on over and over and over again. Then, it's put back to the flames to be done all over again. The thing about it is that every time that sword goes back into the fire, it's a little more shaped like the maker has intended. Once again, it's brought out of the heat and pounded on with the hammer of life. This happens over an over again. Then, once it's taken shape, it's sharpened. Cared for by putting oil and moisture to it. Then safely put in it's sheath where it remains at rest until needed. That is YOU! That is what God does with you in order to make you what He created you to be. Take comfort in the fact that you are being pounded on. You are becoming a sword of the spirit and soon, there is nothing that you can't slice through with the full support of God Almighty. In Jesus' Name....AMEN!
