Here is what we currently know about Spider-Man 4, including its potential release date, any trailers, cast, plot, and more. The movie offered Spider-Man a fresh start in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Is Spider-Man 4 scheduled for release?
Although the release date of Spider-Man 4 has not been officially announced, it is anticipated to occur on July 12, 2024.

The Cosmic Circus, a trustworthy leaker, provided this release date. If it's not July, Sony has a Marvel project unconfirmedly scheduled for release on June 7, 2024.

With all three films arriving in theaters within a short period of time, this would put Spider-Man 4 between Captain America 4 and the Thunderbolts film.

We can be sure that it won't be released in 2023 because Madame Web and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse are coming out the following year, and the Phase Five of the MCU's imminent film schedule appears to be fixed in stone.

At recent conventions, there hasn't been much talk about Spider-Man 4, although it is undoubtedly in development. Amy Pascal, a producer for Sony, told Fandango, "[This is not] the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel -- [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie."

"We're preparing to work with Tom Holland and Marvel on the upcoming Spider-Man film. We're thinking of these as three films, and we'll move on to the following three now. This is not the final film in the MCU series.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, added in a New York Times interview that "Amy [Pascal] and I, as well as Disney and Sony, are talking about [the next movie]."

"Yes, we are actively starting to explore where the tale goes next. I only say this up front because I don't want fans to have the same separation anxiety that followed Far From Home. This time, it won't happen like that.

Spider-Man 4 is presently being written, Feige added in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Who is in the cast of Spider-Man 4?
In Spider-Man 4, Tom Holland is anticipated to reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

After the press tour for No Way Home, Holland's involvement wasn't certain. He hasn't appeared to be opposed to returning for a fourth movie or perhaps a second trilogy, but after being under pressure to protect the movie's secrets, he was eager to take a vacation.

We've had conversations regarding Spider-Man's potential future, but they are still only conversations, he said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. The nature of the future is unknown.

Additionally, he said to Fandom: "You know, I'm not sure if I'll be a part of Spider-Man's future. It's been a remarkable adventure thus far, and if it comes time for me to hang up the cape and hand the reins over, I will do it with pride, knowing that I have accomplished everything that I set out to do in this world.

Given how Spider-Man: No Way Home ended, it's possible that Zendaya and Jacob Batalon won't reprise their roles as MJ and Ned, though it's hoped they will both return.

Don't anticipate seeing Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man 4 cast. It would be a little strange for them to reappear after being thrust back into their respective universes by No Way Home, though both have acknowledged they're open to the concept provided the screenplay is strong enough.

According to recent speculations, Spider-Man 4 would have a number of adversaries, including Thomas Haden Church perhaps reprising his role as Sandman.

What is the plot of Spider-Man 4 about?
Here's where things get very intriguing: Spider-Man 4's official narrative details are unknown, but rumors have linked it to Daredevil Born Again and speculated that Venom may make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Doctor Strange closed the multiverse rift at the conclusion of No Way Home to prevent an influx of villains from other realities into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There was just one catch: Peter Parker's friendship with Ned and relationship with MJ are now erased since everyone in the world has forgotten who he is.

The final shots with Peter show him transitioning to the kind of life we've seen in previous Spider-Man films: residing in a modest, affordable New York apartment and zipping around the city.

Spider-Man will lead the MCU's "street-level heroes" moving forward, according to Kevin Feige, who also affirmed Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, will play a significant role.

Culture A trustworthy leaker named Spider recently tweeted: "Ember report: Spider-Man and Daredevil will cross paths. Peter will need assistance taking on Kingpin.

The Cosmic Circus also hinted that Cox would appear in Spider-Man 4 by saying that it "may actually handle the aftermath of Daredevil: Born Again."

Wilson Fisk and Spider-Man fighting is what Vincent D'Onofrio, who reprised his role as the Kingpin in Hawkeye and will appear in Echo and Daredevil Born Again, wants to see. The actor stated during an appearance on The Sarah O'Connell Show: "I think that would be really, really enjoyable. We'll see, as I want it just as badly as everyone else.

Venom, what about it? In the post-credits scene from Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Tom Hardy's take on the anti-hero briefly entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to a multiverse mix-up. In No Way Home, he was brought back to his own world, but not before leaving a fragment of the symbiote behind.

We should expect to see the black costume in Spider-Man 4 at some time, even though it isn't anticipated that it will take center stage. The black outfit first appeared in the first Secret Wars run.
