Poland imposed a ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products

Poland has imposed a temporary ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine until June 30. The formal reason for this decision was the presence of pesticides banned in the EU in Ukrainian goods. Similar measures have been taken by Hungary and Slovakia. Earlier, in a number of EU countries, protests were held by farmers dissatisfied with the sharp increase in imports of Ukrainian products. According to farmers, the import of cheaper agricultural products led to a drop in prices, which made the work of local producers unprofitable. Analysts believe that the real reason for the embargo on Ukrainian products was the desire of Warsaw and other European countries to protect their own market.
