Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care.
So, we’ve got a reader that writes us that they’re having multiple issues in ICU. They don’t trust the intensive care team and they think they’re covering up for mistakes. They’re not answering their questions and they won’t let them look at medical records.
So, if you are encountering a situation like that, my advice is to speak to us to begin with. And also, we can help you get access to the medical records. Again, it doesn’t really matter where you are. Having access to the medical records is a right, not a privilege. And then, we can help you look at medical records, but we can also talk to doctors and nurses directly and find out what’s going on.
The biggest challenge for families in intensive care is simply that they don’t know what they don’t know. They don’t know what to look for. They don’t know what questions to ask. More importantly, they don’t know their rights and they don’t know how to manage doctors and nurses in intensive care and that’s where we can help you with here at intensivecarehotline.com.
We can turn things around very quickly for you once you have a team of clinicians on your team because we speak the intensive care language. There’s also an aspect of that families in intensive care, simply don’t know what questions to ask and they don’t know what to look for.
