Post-Mortem Apperances Resurrection - James, The Brother Of Jesus

James, the brother of Jesus, didn't believe his Brother to be the Messiah for at least 33 years that Jesus was alive. Then, out of the blue, James becomes a believer that his Big Brother is actually the God-Man Messiah and he's ready to lead the first church in Jerusalem. Was it only to spite the RCC on a couple of fronts?
